Sink Undermount Systems and Clips for Worry-Free Installation

Almost nothing can hurt a shop’s reputation and profit margin more than a failed sink installation, but Braxton-Bragg is here to help.
The company offers four hardware options for permanent, secure, and foolproof installations to eliminate the chance of a dreaded call-back from aggravated customers down the road, according to Product Manager Steve Bussell.
Braxton-Bragg carries the revolutionary G-Clips system, the dependable Hercules® Universal Sink Harness, the popular new Sinkits clamps, and the flexible Universal Sink Undermounter.
Each of the options can ensure a permanent, high-quality sink installation, Bussell said.
“Absolutely. If you use these systems, without a major earthquake or something similar, I don’t believe there is a chance that a failure could take place.
If you want to eliminate that, these systems are the way to go. Mechanically, it’s as permanent as it can be in an impermanent world.
These will all eliminate callbacks because of a sink dropping. They are outstanding systems.”
The installation process can be much more expensive, work-intensive, undependable without using these systems.
Some sink manufacturers used to supply grommets, which would be inserted into a hole drilled in the underside of the work surface.
The grommets were secured by epoxy resin.
Granite is a very hard material, drilling holes is a slow and expensive process, and, at the end of the day, the sink was only glued in place.
Braxton-Bragg, however, offers solutions that are faster, cheaper, and far more secure.
Most current undermount systems also require silicone to hold the weight of the sink.
With these options, though, silicone is only needed to seal against water.
There is no need to build a support system or use temporary supports until the silicone cures.
G-Clips
Braxton-Bragg is now the exclusive distributor for the revolutionary G-Clip system that gives fabricators a simpler and easier way to install undermount sinks.
By using the G-Clip, fabricators can eliminate the potential of sink fall-out and can dispense with the need for temporary supports that require a return trip to remove.
While some anchoring systems require expensive tools to do the job, the G-Clip system can be mounted with an everyday blade and grinder, tools familiar to most fabricators and installers.
In less than 15 minutes a sink can be securely installed.
It works on stainless steel or ceramic. It can even work on cast iron sinks.
All a fabricator has to do is cut a simple slot in the back of the stone.
The G-Clip is under tension, so you tap it in with a hammer or screwdriver.
There is no glue. No waiting. There are no special tools required.
Using the G-Clip increases productivity.
An undermount sink can be installed securely in under 15 minutes.
It is easy to install and there is no specialist tooling required.
The G-Clip will help you reduce expensive remedial work.
Do the job right first time, every time, and increase your customer satisfaction levels.
The products are now available in handy packs.
Each pack has a different application.
You can securely install an undermounted single bowl stainless steel sink for less than $12.
The Hercules Universal Sink Harness
The Hercules Universal Sink Harness will work on most types of sink installation, including ceramic, stainless steel single or double basin, and even cast iron undermount sinks.
Offered exclusively through Braxton-Bragg, the Hercules® Universal Sink Harness is faster and more economical than competing sink install kits. Selling for just $4.95 and installing in minutes, it is the most economical install kit available on the market.
Other products can cost $20-$30 each — a recurring cost that adds up.
The sink harness installs cleanly without drilling, notching, or using messy glue or adhesives.
It eliminates the use of tricky and expensive brackets that only work on some installations, or the need to build a support system from scratch.
Rob Harrell, operations manager for Easton, Maryland-based Solidtops LLC said his company now uses the Hercules Universal Sink Harness on all its installations. “We use it every day.
It’s a very good system compared to what we were using in the past, which was either glue and blocks or drilling the stone and screwing in a brace.”
Either of those options was subject to eventual natural failure, but not the Hercules Universal Sink Harness. “The only time they fail is when the plumber cuts them.”
To help customers, Braxton-Bragg offers an animated installation video on its website. The video can be found online at www.braxton-bragg.com/herculessinkharness.
